Elliott is our second child's, first child.
Couple of weeks ago, we celebrated his 4th birthday.
A lot of growing up, and changes happen between birthday cakes.
His first four years have gone by like a blur. It seems like we live our lives in four or five year chapters.
Birth to pre-school might be Chapter 1.
Elliott likes pre-school. And, he is learning to be a good helper at home. He is bright, and loves Sponge Bob and other cartoons. Magnetic building blocks, books, and Harry Potter stuff make him happy.
He's left handed. Lefties have a reputation for creativity and musical skills. Their brains are organized differently than right handed people. That artsy gene, and doing things his own unique way seems to be playing out.
Robin and Zackary had a wonderful birthday party at their house just outside of Murfreesboro. Terri and I had the best time.
Elliott loved it when everyone sang Happy Birthday and cheered for him.
We had delicious birthday cake, home made ice cream, little slider sandwiches, coke, and lots of snacks.
Zackary's family from Georgia and Clarksville were there.
Karen, Ryan, and Rylee made it. Will and Torey were there.
Zachary and Robin's friends, Ethan and Maddie were there. They are awesome.
Elliott's friend, Naomi, was there, with her sweet mom and dad, Teraya, and Nicholas.
When they arrived, Elliott shouted, "One of my friends is here!"
It was a great time.
You may notice in the picture, Robin and Zackary have a little one on the way. In late December, the world will welcome another little Fair.
We are so excited!
Elliot and I have alot in common...
September birthdays, short attention spans. We both love cake. We are both figuring things out. And we have lots of mysteries still to unravel.
And we get really excited if we have one good friend around.
The celebrations continued a week later, in Shelbyville. We got together for mine and Karen's birthdays at La Rivera restaurant.
The food was good, and the company was even better. I sat across from Robin, Elliott, and Rylee.
Elliott had a napkin stuffed into his shirt to keep it clean, and was not real crazy about that. So I stuffed one in my shirt too. We made the best of it. Probably saved both our shirts.
He loved the chips and salsa.
