"S" is for...Hope...

In the 2013 Superman movie... Lois Lane asks Superman, "What 's the S stand for?, He replies, "It's not an S.  On my world it means, Hope."

It's not fair to call another person Superman.

Then again, when that person brings so much Hope to others, maybe it is.

My earlier Jeff Taylor stories are out there and searchable:

Why another, why now?

Fair question.

Grief nudges us along on a journey we didn't choose, and leaves us at a different place.  The trip can be blurry and fast, or, so slow you swear you aren't moving at all.

With grief, comes an energy and restlesness.

For me, it feels like a bad dance that I know neither the next steps, or recognize the music.

We can't fix it.  What do you do with it?

With time, I choose to let it turn other gears.  Do something with it.  Grief is one of many kinds of life's building blocks.  Feel it.    Learn from it.  Keep going.  Make a difference.

At first, grief moves us backwards and sideways.

As time passes, we stumble forward, supporting each other.  We recognize real Hope.  Hope that can only come from trusting Jesus and the promise of forever in Heaven.

Jeff talked about that kind of Hope.  Listen to Jeff's testimony, from August 31, 2016.  "My Story for His Glory."

Jeff takes the stage at ...minute #22.  TeamTaylor22 !

The message is about God showing us His love through his son, Jesus.  It's a message of overcoming adversity.  It's a message of Hope.

In his voice, and in his words, at minute 55, Jeff invites us to the foot of the cross.  "Come Get It!"

That's where Hope is.

Hope enough to get us through today.

Hope that allows us to sleep tonight.

Hope for tomorrow.

Hope to push on, and live our best life.

Hope for forever in Heaven.

When one person shares that much Hope, the resemblance to Superman is not such a stretch after all.

We are fortunate to know someone like that.

Hope...continues.
